The Mark Milsome Foundation is incredibly proud to be part of Kit Start, a scheme dedicated to opening doors for those who may otherwise face barriers when entering the film and TV industry.
Helping people get started within the industry, especially those who are underrepresented in the screen industries, has always been a key part of the Foundationβs mission.
As part MMFβs involvement, the Foundation will be providing financial and administrative support, delivering its Health and Safety Passport to short-listed candidates, and offering access to its extensive network of supporters within the industry.

π¬ Want to start your own journey in the film and TV industry? Kit Start could be your first step π
George Rumsey landed his first paid role within the industry at Filmscape Media, a kit rental house. As a small independent company with a close knit team it offered him the chance to learn quickly across multiple disciplines. He gained hands on experience across technical, organisational, managerial, and client-facing roles, whilst developing the ability to solve problems and think on his feet. These early foundations paved the way for his next chapter at Panavision, where he built upon his experience and forged long-lasting relationships with some of the most respected crews and DPs in the industry.
After more than a decade working in and around rental houses, that experience ultimately led him to his current role as an agent at a leading talent agency, where he now represents many of the DPs he supported throughout his career.
